Best Shoes for Paris in November
Sneakers
Comfortable walking shoes are an essential for Paris no matter the time of year. This is because Paris is a city where you will be doing a lot of walking even in Winter. For me sneakers are the best shoes for sightseeing in.
My favorite brands for travel tend to Hoka and All birds but for Paris in November I also like to have a white sneaker such as the Addidas Cloud Foam brand. Not only are these one of the most comfortable sneakers around but they are also super versatile.
However if you are looking for a sneaker with some waterproofing then we recommend looking at the Ecco brand.
On top of sneakers we also recommend packing:
Ankle boots
As the weather can be changeable and rainy in Paris in November we recommend having a leather boot with some waterproofing as well as a sneaker.
These are also better for wearing for evenings out where there are smart casual dress codes such as some Parisian restaurants.

What to wear in Paris in November for women
So now you know the best shoes to pack for Paris, we will turn our attention to packing the best Fall Capsule wardrobe for Paris.
Skirts and dresses
I like to wear a dress when traveling, especially for nights out in Paris. However for November in Paris you will need something a bit thicker with longer sleeves. For me there is nothing better than a sweater dress for Paris in November.
And we would never dream about going out in November in a skirt or dress without wearing a thick pair of tights too.

Trousers / Jeans
If skirts and dresses aren’t your thing then trousers are a great choice. As November is getting cooler we recommend picking thicker trousers made of heavier fabric. Jeans are perfect for sightseeing during the day. I would recommend picking smarter jeans such as black jeans or dark blue jeans that are more fitted or skinny jeans as these are more in keeping with local style.
If you want a smarter pant then we love a regular black pant (we love the Athleta Brooklyn ankle pant for travel) or a thick wool pant.

Blouse
Blouses are perfect for Paris in the Fall for both sightseeing and going out to dinner. They are a verstaile layering item and can be dressed up or down depending on where you are going. Click here to shop blouses.
T Shirt
I don’t think I ever visit Paris without a t shirt on my packing list. Given the weather in November we recommend packing a mixture of both short and long sleeve basic t shirts.
I recommend picking plain t shirts instead of patterned, graphic or slogan tees to be more in keeping with the local style. Also I try to avoid having too much striped Breton t shirts as it can look a little touristy (in fact its on my what not to wear in Paris lisT)
Layers
For Paris in November layers are going to be your best friend. For a week in Paris I will usually pack:
- a cardigan,
- a hoodie, and
- smart sweater.
I like to stick to neutral colors as a personal style preference in Paris in November. I particularly love to pack a camel cardigan along with a smart merino wool sweater.
Coat
November is probably the first month in Paris where you will need a thick coat.
You will find the local style is very much for tailored wool coats, however as a tourist you may find something with a bit of waterproofing more appropriate. Shop coats for Paris here.
Pashmina
A pashmina is always on my Paris packing list especially in Fall.
It can act as a scarf to dress or a a more casual outfit but is a useful extra layer on cooler nights and days. Shop pashminas here.
Underwear and Socks
Goes without saying.
PJs or Nightie
Sunglasses
The sun can be bright in Paris so I definitely wouldn’t go in November without a pair of shades that offers good UV protection.
