Jacket

Jeans
Although the temperatures are heating up I would still pack a lightweight pair of jeans.
However I would suggest that jeans are not the only type of trouser you should take for this time of year. We also recommend packing some smarter trousers like a black pant. At the minute we are loving the Athleta Brooklyn ankle pant for travel).
But if you are traveling towards the end of April linen trousers are a great addition to your packing list.
Layers
Layers are absolutely essential for any month in Greece. We recommend packing lots of light layers such as light sweaters, a hoodie and waterfall cardigan. These are easier to layer as part of a capsule wardrobe and take up less room in your suitcase.
T Shirts
T shirts are a great base layer for Greece whatever time you visit. We recommend packing a mix of long and short sleeve tees for April.
Blouses
Blouses are a great pick for Greece in April especially for dinners when paired with cardigans or sweaters.
Dress or Skirt
As the temperatures are warming up in April I usually pack a dress for both day and night. However I will usually pack a cardigan or wrap to go with it in case of a cool breeze.
Also as there are many archaeological sites to tour in Greece my preferred length of dress is a midi one as you don’t want anything that drags along the floor.
Pashmina
It doesn’t matter where I am traveling in Europe, a pashmina is always on my packing list. It is handy as an extra layer in cold weather but also can make outfits more modest in religious settings.
PJs, Underwear and Socks
Goes without saying. Personally I like to also have sneaker socks with me for traveling around Greece in April.

Layers
If you are spending a week in Greece in Spring you will still want some layers with you. I would recommend packing 3 types of layers as well as a coat as per our sudoku packing method.
We recommend packing a hoodie for daytimes exploring archaeological sites like the Acropolis and for museums, a lightweight sweater for evenings and a waterfall cardigan too.
Shorts
Although it really depends on where and when in April you travel, but if you are traveling towards the end of the month a pair of shorts are also useful to add to your packing list.
Underwear and Nightwear
Best Shoes for Greece in April
We always recommend not overpacking on the shoe front. The shoes we recommend in April are:
Sneakers
These are the best shoe for Greece no matter the time of travel. Sneakers are great for touring archaeological sites in Greece no matter the season. They have a good sole and provide good arch and ankle support for uneven surfaces.
Some of my favoured brands are Hoka and allbirds. However you also can’t go wrong with a plain white sneaker as they go with everything fashion wise. One of my favorite pairs of white sneakers is the Adidas Cloud Foam shoes.

Sandal
As the temperatures are heating up in Greece in April the other shoe you should pack is a sandal. We recommend packing a walking style one that can cope in places such as Delphi and the Acropolis and on hillier islands such as Santorini.
